RheinEnergie AG intends to erect a large-scale heat pump system in a power class of approx. 150 MW thermally for the generation of district heating on the premises of the Cologne-Niehl site. The heat source of the large-scale heat pump will be river water taken from the Rhine. There is a requirement to generate a district heating temperature of at least greater than 90 °C from the river water with a temperature of approx. (3°C – 25 °C). The maximum mains flow temperature is 130 °C. As part of the tender, the requirements for the required district heating flow temperature will be specified.
The scope of this notice is the procurement of the large-scale heat pump as a thermal generating unit for the provision of district heating.
The large-scale heat pump consists of the main mechanical components heat exchanger, refrigerant circulation system including compressor and refrigerant storage tank as well as district heating circulation pumps. Also included are the EI&C components required for the operation of the large heat pump with associated software and controls.
As a functional system, the large-scale heat pump must be planned, delivered, installed and commissioned in detail by the applicant. The applicant places the system in his scope of delivery on the market in compliance with CE conformity.
The scope of supply and services also includes a maintenance contract for the core components of the large heat pump, which is concluded for a period of 10 years combined with the option for RheinEnergie to extend the maintenance contract.
