The subproject Library Dissemination is part of the overall upgrade of the public libraries' new website solution DDB CMS NEXT. The subproject Library Communication deals with the development of all the editorial functions for the website solution. There is therefore a focus on developing an inspiring and user-friendly universe for all end users and ensuring the many editors a good and effective tool.
The subproject Library Dissemination deals with the development of all the editorial functions for the website solution. This is a UX task in the sense that it is crucial for the contracting entity that the development takes place with a UX focus, so that in a UX course within the given temporal framework according to UX methodology, an inspiring and user-friendly universe is developed for the public libraries' end users, just as the many editors are ensured a good and effective tool in the dissemination. The subproject must establish all content elements that the libraries themselves can edit, including front and section pages as well as news, recommendation and inspiration modules. New pages will be developed for viewing branches with addresses and opening hours, as well as staff and organization view and an improved implementation of digital resources. During the subproject, the calendar will also be developed and the setup of an abstraction layer for integration to external ticketing systems, as well as a new navigation structure with optimized taxonomy and search function in editorial content.
