Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital in the South East of England. The Trust was legally established on 14.2.2000 and provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 560 000 people living in the South of West Kent and the North of East Sussex.
The Trusts core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs, and it operates from 2 main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. The latter is a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) hospital and provides wholly single bedded en-suite accommodation for in-patients.
Lot 2: Fresh Fruit and Vegetables — To provide our restaurants based at both hospitals, with fresh fruit and vegetables.
Lot 3: To provide our restaurants, based at both hospitals, with fresh meat, for patients and staff meals.
Lot 4: To provide puree meals for patients at Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
Lot 5: to provide milk and bread to both hospitals in the Trust.
Lot 1: The bidder will have a range of products available to offer variety for the Trust including but not limited to products suitable for vegan, vegetarian, low fat, gluten free and diabetic diets. The bidder should also have the capability to offer products suitable for halal, kosher and gluten free diets, including organic and free range ingredients is desirable but not mandatory.
