At the future transition between town and landscape, an ensemble of regional school, elementary school with after-school care center and two-field sports hall with cafeteria is being built on an area of around 7 hectares with the "New SchoolCampus" Zarrentin. The three polygonal structures are arranged around a central campus square. Access to the campus is from the south.

The two-storey buildings are made of reinforced concrete with a bright facing stone façade. The roofs are flat sloping and extensively greened. The two school buildings have a courtyard. The individual schools are assigned quiet, manageable outdoor areas for games and breaks. The two schools have a spacious two-storey foyer with an open staircase. For further access there are two staircases and an elevator. On the ground floor of the Regional School the administration and some specialist classes are accommodated. On the upper floor there are specialist classes and general classrooms. On the ground floor of the primary school with after-school care is the teacher's room and the specialist classes of the primary school. In addition, the after-school area is housed here. On the upper floor are the general classrooms. All classrooms are naturally ventilated. The corridors are spacious and offer space for free learning zones. The Zweifeldsporthalle is used both for school sports and by clubs. The hall can be divided into two parts in the middle by a dividing curtain. The OKFF of the sports hall is 1m lower than the rest of the building. The hall has a baffle wall up to 2m high on three sides. On the fourth side is the grandstand. Attached to the sports hall are two equipment rooms. There is a changing area with 2 women's and 2 men's changing rooms. On the upper floor of the Zweifeldsporthalle with canteen, the technical supply for all three buildings is housed. The canteen is used by both schools and offers 152 seats. The canteen kitchen is planned as an output and regeneration kitchen. As a first step, the development of the campus area was started. In December 2020, construction began on the building construction of the Regional School. Construction of the Zweifeldsporthalle with canteen started in spring 2021 and for the primary school / after-school care centre in summer 2021. The overall completion of the SchulCampus is scheduled for summer 2023.
