An arbitrary generator is advertised for research on data transmission systems (e.g. for fiber optic communication). For this purpose, binary or multi-valued data signals with very high data rates must be generated in the laboratory. Current research is aimed at symbol rates of 100 to 200 GBaud. For these data rates, electronic chips are researched, prototyped and measured at the chair. In order to be able to measure these chips, a device with the highest possible bandwidth is required.
