The Clinical Risk Waste Scheme is a collection scheme established as a combined collection and delivery system. The task involves the collection of clinical risk waste from the registered companies, care centers, pharmacies and from the municipality's 4 recycling sites. Subsequently, transport the waste to an approved treatment plant.

The task of collecting and treating hazardous waste includes: collection and transport of hazardous waste from 4 recycling sites and paint residues from housing associations.

The overall task involves the collection and treatment of hazardous waste and clinical risk waste in Vejle Municipality.

The Clinical Risk Waste Scheme is a collection scheme established as a combined collection and delivery system.

In Vejle Municipality, clinical risk waste must be collected from all companies in Vejle Municipality that produce clinical risk waste. The majority must be collected at the corporate address, while a small portion will be collected through the municipal recycling sites. The contractor must settle directly with the customers.

The contract holder must collect clinical risk waste from the registered companies, nursing centers, pharmacies and from the municipality's 4 recycling sites and must subsequently transport the waste to an approved treatment plant.

The collection scheme comprises approx. 100 companies divided into the following business categories:

- Doctors, hospitals, dentists, dental clinics, specialist doctors, etc.,

- Nursing centers, treatment homes, etc.,

- Beauty clinics, podiatrists, tattooists, etc.,

- Animal husbandry,

- Veterinarians,

- Police, zoos, etc.

The task of collecting and treating hazardous waste from recycling sites serves as a total solution.

The total solution contains:

- collection and transport of hazardous waste from 4 recycling sites and paint residues from housing associations,

- rental of hazardous waste collection and packaging materials, incl. collection materials for housing associations,

- signs for waste fractions at the recycling sites and sorting instructions for the staff at the recycling sites,

- the waste is weighed for use in accounting, statistics for Waste Recycling and registration in the Waste Data System (ADS),

- preparation of various transport documents in accordance with legislation,

- labeling of packaging for recycling sites and housing association in accordance with legislation,

- monthly statistics on quantities collected and packaging delivered to WasteGenbrug.

Disposal of hazardous waste must be done at an approved treatment facility.
