Leeds City Region (LEP) have awarded Bradford College a skills capital fund to establish a new regional dental education centre to be located on the ground floor of the newly built Bradford College Advanced Technology Centre (ATC). The College have allocated 3 training rooms within the centre for the installation of dental equipment. The plan is to have a dedicated simulator room with 12-20 phantom heads installed. A separate decontamination Training room will be a dedicated resource for training purposes only it will not be used for actual clinical decontamination. A dental chair will be housed in a dedicated training room, the chair will not be used to conduct patient procedures but for training and demonstration purposes only.
Dental Surgery Chair for training purposes.
12-20 x Phantom Head Simulators (depending on m2 recommendation).
Decontamination Room with Chemical safe sinks and autoclave.
Hand pieces, connectors, motors.
Compressor for use with Dental drills.
Equipment for each phantom head simulator and the dental chair.
