Construction phase B for municipal engineering infrastructure (KT) in Granåsen sports park in Trondheim Municipality consists of approx. 700 m new/renewed road with pavements, support walls, noise reduction screens, parking and recreational areas, street lights, cable ditches, demolition of buildings, cable ditches and water and sewage ditches, with the accompanying water and sewage manholes.
Granåsen sports park will be a general skiing arena for Nordic Disciplines that fulfils international requirements. It must also be an everyday arena and cultural arena for the town's population.
The legal basis for the development is the area plan and development plan r20170032. There are a number of sequential measures including road and water and sewage measures.
Granåsen sports park will be developed in phases. The development must be adapted to various major events, both summer and winter.
Trondheim Municipality, Agency for Sports and Outdoor Life (the project owner) has given Trondheim Municipality, Municipal Engineering the responsibility for the detailed engineering design services for and the construction of roads, water, sewage and some outside areas. This will be split into different stages, adapted to different wishes and requirements.
Phase A will be completed in May 20 and comprises a ski bridge over Smistadvegen, approx. 180 m of Smistadvegen, the associated water and sewage installations and facilitating areas for countries to use in events. A foot and cycle path will be constructed in spring 20 along the existing Smistadveg from Kongsvegen to the Toppidrettssenteret (top-level sports centre) in order to give safer traffic access to the health and arena building until the road developments have been completed.
This enquiry is for construction phase B and comprises:
— Smistadvegen with pavements from the exit between Smistadvegen 19 and 25 up to and including the Smistadvegen/Tverrvegen junction (new road);
— construction of the new Tverrvegen, with new water and sewage installations and lighting installations from the junction with Smistadvegen to junction with the current access road that goes over the large car park in Granåsen;
— outside areas by the top-level sports centre, as well as outside installations that are not commissioned in the contract for the health and arena building Granåsen;
— there are relatively large areas with terrain forming and re-vegetation;
— three workers' barracks must be demolished in the civil defence camp, as well as Smistadvegen 3, 4 and 8. See drawing B01.
The amounts are as follows:
— 700 m new road (in uncompacted matter and rock),
— 750 m
— 50 m new noise reduction screens,
— 20 m privacy screens,
— 2 000 m
— 1 500 m
— 40 street light masts,
— 1 400 m cable ditches,
— 6 buildings that must be demolished,
— 1 600 m water and sewage ditches (uncompacted matter and combined ditches),
— 14 water manholes,
— 20 sewage manholes.
Due to a lot of activity in the area, it will not always be possible to carry out work that requires a lot of space due to safety concerns for various traffic groups and other comings and goings and use of the site, buildings and nature in the area. The contract must deal with other contracts in their site work, such as the establishment of a pressure increasing station (by the vestibule for the top-level sports centre), an elevated basin (Hoppvegen by the ski bridge), the ski track project and the ski jump project (site activity from approx. April 2021). Furthermore, the site progress must deal with the daily operation of Granåsen sports arena, as well as major events and normal activities at the sports arena and area in general.
Later construction phases for roads and water and sewage are expected to be as follows (not part of this contract):
— construction phase C will comprise access to Granåsen nursery and surface water installations;
— construction phase D will cover Kongsvegen with two roundabouts with connections to the new Smistadvegen, which is to be constructed now in phase B, as well as a new access road from the roundabout to the new Tverrveg (phase B).
