SOL - Civil Engineering Support (Framework). This tender process is to establish a new framework to call off services for two separate lots as identified below:Lot 1: Minor civil projects with a budget ranging from £0 to £500,000. Projects falling within this lot include but are not limited to small-scale infrastructure, maintenance, and repair works. Mostly incorporating active travel projects and pedestrian connectivity improvements.Lot 2: Projects exceeding £500,001 in value. This lot encompasses larger-scale civil projects such as major infrastructure construction, substantial highway works and complex engineering projects. Contractors can apply for Lot 1, Lot 2 or both Lots. Contractors interested in either framework lot within this tender must carefully review the specifications and requirements outlined for each lot. Detailed documentation, including project plans, cost estimates, and compliance assurances, must be provided according to the guidelines set forth for each respective lot. Minor Civil Engineering and Traffic Safety projects between the value of £0 to £500,000.00 There is the scope for any of the following within the Schedule of Rates (Schedule 3)o Carriageways – including reconstruction, resurfacing, anti-skid surfacing, patching crack repairs and sealing. o Footways – including reconstruction, resurfacing, patching, crack repairs and sealing. o Kerbs, Channels and Edgings. o Drainage.o Fencing, Railings and Safety Barriers. o Provision and Installation of Signs, Street Nameplates and Street Furniture. o Road Markings. o Sectional Agreement Developments (i.e., S278, S38 etc) o Construction of Footway Crossovers. Civil Engineering and Traffic Safety projects over the value of £500,001.00 These schemes are mostly high profile and normally involving multiple disciplines. This could potentially include anything within the above description for Lot 1 that is budgeted to cost in excess of £500,001. Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council withholds the right to use Lot 2 if a project arises within the scope of services for Lot 2 that may potentially exceed £500,000 with an upper limit of £1,500,000.00.
