The subject of the present award procedure is the residual service life assessment, structural investigation and analysis, structural design (recalculation of the statics) and planning services for possible repair concepts for the existing rolling bridges structures N1-N2, N3-N4 and S5-S6 at Munich Airport.
These roller bridges connect the aprons with the taxiway system. These are therefore only used by aircraft to roll over. Since these taxibridges are located on the border between DFS (German Air Traffic Control) and Munich Airport, the aircraft regularly brake (of up to 40 km/h).
Due to age, the rolling bridge structures with groundwater troughs are increasingly showing symptoms that indicate that the condition of the structures is deteriorating. In addition, the frequency of groundwater ingress through the groundwater troughs is increasing, which in turn regularly leads to damage in the road area below the rolling bridges.
The aim of this tender is the preparation of the static recalculation from the existing reinforcement plans, since the static calculations from the construction period cannot be found, an investigation and evaluation of the remaining service life of the rolling bridge structures with unrestricted usability, as well as the creation of a concept for any necessary repair measures or, if necessary, a compilation of the measures for the maintenance of the structure as well as the extension of use. This concept must be developed in such a way that it is economically and operationally compatible. From an operational point of view, it is not possible to close taxibridges for several months.
Possible and economic measures for the preservation of the building are to be proposed and justified. In addition, an assessment is to be made of how long the structures will continue to be usable without restriction, with and without maintenance measures.
