The development and implementation of an EU-wide pollinator monitoring scheme is a key commitment under the EU Pollinators Initiative. A number of preparatory activities is necessary before such scheme can be deployed on the ground, for example raising the taxonomic capacity. This contract will strengthen the taxonomic capacity in EU Member States with regard to pollinating insects, and support preparation for the implementation of the EU Pollinator Monitoring Scheme.
