Hjørring Water Company is a water supply company in Hjørring Municipality.
Hørring Water Company wants the establishment of new remote-read water meters to replace the 19,957 water meters and the supply of 186 drive-by water meters, which are today located in the supply area.
The project includes the delivery and assembly of 19,912 remote-read water meters at Hjørring Water Company, including customer booking and service, as well as the provision of 186 drive-by water meters and the delivery of 45 larger remote-read water meters which are assembled by Hjørring Water Company.
It should be stated that the specified meter count is not precise and should be expected to vary by an estimated -5% to +10%.

In addition, the project includes data acquisition from the new remote-read water meters to a central hometaking system, via a data network established, owned and operated by the bidder over a 15-year period.
The offered solution must be secure so that non-people cannot access data from the communications network or water meters.
The physical replacement/establishment of remote reading water meters (19 912 pieces) for Hjørring Water Company by each customer, as well as the booking and servicing of customers are subject to this offer.
The establishment of the complete communications network, including any amplifiers, antennas, masts, etc. and/or use of existing networks, is subject to this tender and shall be executed/offered by the tenderer (hereinafter referred to as the total supplier) or its subcontractor. It should be emphasised that the network is established, owned and operated by the total contractor or its subcontractor, and that Hjørring Water Company is therefore not related to investment, operational and maintenance with the network.
A solution is desired where the total supplier is responsible for providing a unified solution for the homecoming of meter data from water meters to a centrally located hometaking system, hosted by the total supplier. The choice of solution is up to the total vendor, but must be based on a network solution, and hourly performance must be at least 97.0%.
The total supplier may offer to repatriate meter data through a solution with a standalone communications network owned by the total supplier, where Hjørring Water Company continuously pays the total supplier for use of the network. Or the total supplier may enter into subcontracting agreement with a third party for the use of a new or existing communications network, where Hjørring Water Company continuously pays the total supplier for use of the network.
Thus, the total supplier is free to offer data acquisition through the establishment of its own autonomous network, and/or to offer the use of an existing network, telecommunications, internet radio based network or other for data acquisition. It should be emphasised that, whatever solution is chosen by the total supplier, only one contract for data acquisition is concluded, namely between the total supplier and Hjørring Water Company.
