As part of the feasibility study, the variants of new construction, partial renovation and general renovation were examined. The result of the study is that a general renovation is to be carried out.

The existing multi-purpose hall is used for school sports, club sports and as a meeting place. The current playing field has a size of about 42.65 m x 23.80 m. This no longer corresponds to the current sizes of a triple gym. The structural conditions of the existing building can be found in the feasibility study.

In particular, the existing building has deficits in building technology, fire protection and accessibility. The energy standard is also outdated. The building technology has a predominant service life of more than 30 years, so that it must be completely renewed.

As part of the general renovation, a complete gutting to the shell condition is to take place. The roof structure is to be preserved. After the renovation, the multi-purpose hall should fully meet the current fire protection requirements. For this purpose, another escape route may be necessary. The building services as well as the energy requirements and also the sports equipment are to be brought up to date. Here, the first installation of a ventilation system is necessary. After the general renovation, an equivalent standard comparable to a new building is to be achieved. Full accessibility must be provided.

The entire technical equipment must be completely renewed. For this reason, a conversion surcharge is not granted.

An extension of the foyer with cloakroom and catering area may also be planned.

A pollutant test is carried out in parallel with this procedure.

The total cost of the measure is expected to be around EUR 10 million gross (KG 200-700).

The planning services are to be commissioned in December 2022. The design and approval planning is planned for 2023, whereby the funding application after FAG funding is expected to be submitted by 31.10.2023. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2024. Completion is scheduled for 2026.
