Lot 1: Services for 5-18 years old.
Lot 2: Stay and Play Activities, 3-10 years old.
The Provider shall deliver a range of age and ability appropriate Short Break group activities for disabled children and young people aged 5-18 years old including specific Transitions activities for young people aged 15-18 years old to prepare them for adulthood and transitioning from Children’s Services to Adult’s Services.
The Provider shall support disabled children and young people to learn new skills, socialise, have fun and have the same opportunities that their non-disabled peers have access to.
Transitions Activities shall be age appropriate, fun activities which incorporate independence skills such as travel training and cooking.
Activities may include but are not limited to:
— sports,
— arts and crafts,
— cookery,
— dance,
— soft play,
— sensory activities,
— independent life skills,
— IT clubs,
— youth group activities,
— spending time in the community with friends,
— camping weekends / weekends away,
— concerts / theatre trips.
The Framework is for 3 years with the option to extend the framework for a further 3 years. Therefore, if all extensions were taken, the full length of the contract would be for 6 years. It is anticipated that the contract will start on 1.5.2018.
The estimated value of the contract including any possible extensions is 840 000 GBP.
Stay and Play activities are Short Break sessions which require a parent / carer to be present, supporting and looking after their child at all times. The staff ratio for Stay and Play activities will be variable and the Provider shall ensure that appropriate levels are available to meet the needs of the children and young people accessing the Service.
Stay and Play sessions shall be available for at least 3 hours, and parents / carers will be able to “drop-in” without booking and can stay for the length of time they require. The Provider shall offer sessions to children and young people with disabilities from the age of 3 to 10 years old.

The Provider shall split children into age and ability appropriate sessions to ensure the safety of all. Children will remain the responsibility of the parent / carer. Siblings of any age or disability shall be able to attend sessions at the discretion of the Provider.
The Provider shall offer a range of unstructured activities which may include but not be limited to:
— soft play,
— sensory activities,
— swimming.
