The framework agreement includes the supply of audiovisual communication technology and, as required, the associated assembly and maintenance services, including instruction on hardware and software. The framework agreement is intended to ensure TH Cologne's equipment with audiovisual communication technology. Annex 10_EVB-IT system contract (framework agreement) of the procurement documents regulates more detailed individual times.

The service relates to the renovation, revitalization or renewal of the existing equipment of audiovisual communication technology at all locations of TH Cologne (Cologne, Gummersbach, Leverkusen).

It is planned to equip or modernize premises of the Cologne University of Technology with audiovisual communication technology for around 350,000 EUR per year within the two-year term (with a maximum of twice a year). There is also a non-binding planning to invest a further EUR 350,000 for further modernization measures during this period. The investment volume of Cologne University of Technology defined here is to be understood as a minimum framework for acceptance.

Due to possible additional requirements for AV equipment, e.g. due to technical adjustments due to the pandemic or additional research activities and the associated additional rental of rooms or buildings or the change in use of rooms, or the change in use of rooms, could result in a significant increase in the demand of AV- communication technology takes place within the planned term of the framework contract. In order to be able to react flexibly to these changes in the framework conditions that are not yet foreseeable, the maximum possible investment volume within the total term of the framework agreement of four years is set to a maximum of four million euros.

However, there is no acceptance obligation on the part of TH Köln.
