The AVG is planning the duplication of the Heilbronn - Eppingen line (AVG line 94950) between the Leingarten West station and the Schwaigern station over a length of approx. 3.2 km. The current single-track section is to be operated on two tracks in the future. In addition to the necessary additional track, existing switch connections are to be supplemented or new transfer connections are to be created. For this purpose, the conversion of the 6 existing points is planned (5 as a new building, one as a renewal).
In the course of the new construction of the second track, the superstructure of the existing track must also be adapted to the new drainage situation. The existing cable duct must be replaced along the entire route. Furthermore, in the course of the double-track expansion, the extension of the track body will also be necessary, including the adaptation or renewal of four culvert structures along the line.
In addition, for the Heilbronn - Eppingen direction at the Schwaigern-Ost HP (TSWO), the construction of a new platform on the new track is required. The platform is designed as a prefabricated platform with deep foundations. Access to the platform is provided by means of a ramp system. Furthermore, the measure includes the adaptation of two level crossings (railway km 127.3+21 and railway km 128.2+16) to the new track geometry, the extension of the pedestrian underpass (EÜ at railway km 129.062) west of the "Schwaigern-Ost" stop and the construction of a new noise barrier in the area of the existing platform at the Schwaigern-Ost HP.
