Nortura has decided to expand its factory in Hærland by establishing a new central slaughter house for poultry. Based on this decision, together with the expectation of considerable population growth and a desire for allowing for new establishments of industry and growth in businesses, Eidsberg municipality has a need to upgrade its municipal water and sewage installations. This is for an increase of capacity at the water treatment plant, transfer installations for both water and sewage, and the sewage treatment plant. In addition a mutual reserve water system shall be established between Askim, Trøgstad and Eidsberg municipalities. Elements of this will also be included in this project. The above mentioned works are now being planned, and will be carried out from spring 2014 to autumn 2016.

All the above mentioned works are planned to be carried out in the following contracts:

— Contract C01 – Turnkey contract: Prosess and automation at the sewage treatment plant

— Contract C02 – General contract: Other trades at the sewage treatment plant

— Contract D01 – General contract: Elevated basin

— Contract D02 – General contract: Pipeline installations Mørkved – Laslett

— Contract D03 – General contract: Pipeline installations Tosebygda – Laslett

— Contract D04 – Water source/water treatment (not finally decided)

— Contract D05 – Water source/water treatment (not finally decided)

— Contract E01 – General contract: Pipeline installations sewage/surface water

This contract, contract E01, consists of the establishment of new sewage pipelines from Brandsrudveien to Mysen sewage treatment plant. At the same time as the establishment of this sewage pipeline, a separation and clearance of the entire existing sewage and surface water system in the area will be carried out. In addition new water pipelines shall be laid along the whole route. In total the contract will consist of approx. 3 500 m with ditches.
