New sewer construction Pescher Straße to Martinusstraße

The current Pesch wastewater pumping station on Pescher Straße (next to the RRB Pesch) as well as the current Esch wastewater pumping station on Martinusstraße are currently still draining into the existing receiving ditch, which begins at Pescher Straße, then branches off north along the two Escher lakes, then crosses Hahner Weg, Auweilerstraße and Martinusstraße and runs to Orrer Straße. At Orrer Straße, the receiving ditch then runs west in the direction of Pulheim, where it flows into the Cologne Randkanal on the last stretch. The two existing pumping stations Pesch and Esch are to be abandoned and a new central pumping station Martinusstraße is to be built on Martinusstraße. In the course of this, the existing receiving ditch with its open wastewater drainage will also be abandoned. For this purpose, a new inlet channel (size Ei1400/2100 and DN 2000 to DN 3400) will be built at the Pesch plant (Pescher Straße) up to the new Martinusstraße pumping station. On the drain side of the new Martinusstraße pumping station, new pressure pipelines (2 x DN 1200 and 2 x DN 300) are being constructed.

As part of this tender, the new inlet canal is to be constructed over a total length of approx. 1.75 km in the area of Pescher Straße to Martinusstraße. The new Martinusstraße pumping station and the new pressure pipelines on the outlet side of the Martinusstraße pumping station are included in other tenders.
