The procurement will primarily cover the contracting authority's need for weighting and reporting the Tourist Survey and the implementation of a travel barometer in important markets. In addition there can be needs for other surveys for Innovasjon Norge's tourism commitment, at the same time as connections with other parts of Innovasjon Norge if required. In addition it is important that the tenderer can help with making simpler calculators and others tools for communicating numbers and insight.

An important part of the assignment that Innovasjon Norge has been given by the Ministry of Trade and Fisheries is to gather and communicate insight, statistics, and market analyses that are relevant for the travel industry. The most important survey is the Tourist Survey that is a face-to-face survey where the interviewers interview Norwegian and foreign holiday and business travellers around Norway throughout the year. Innovasjon Norge already has a supplier for the part of the survey that involves data collection, and we need a tenderer that can receive a data file every four months for data processing, weighting, and reporting every four months.
