The procurement is for the transport and treatment of 180 tonnes of hazardous waste per annum. The waste is to be collected at 5 recycling stations after an order has been placed. Tenderers shall provide a proper chemist service for 2 annual sortings of non-identified waste.

Separate contracts will be signed with 2 contracting authorities.

The contracts will be valid for 3 years from 1.7.2018 to 30.6. 2021, with an option for the contracting authority to extend the contract for 1+1 year.

The waste included in the competition is divided into 3 packages for each of the two areas included in the competition (IRMAT and Kongsberg). One contract will cover all the collection places within the area per product package.

Package 1: Windows with chlorinated paraffin pollution, and possibly phthalate;

Package 2: Batteries, divided between small batteries and lead accumulators;

Package 3: Chemicals in different packaging. The packaging includes approx. 30 litre plastic boxes, full steel and plastic barrels, pallet edges covered in plastic and IBC. In addition there is a separate waste oil tank of 6 000 litres at Kongsberg (Gomsrud).

Tenderers must see to transport and ensure that there is the necessary equipment for carrying out the assignment.

The tenderer will take over responsibility for the waste when the loading starts up until final disposal/re-use of the material. The contracting authority insists that all waste is temporarily stored, treated and finally disposed of in accordance with the Norwegian rules. Furthermore, the required licences (notifications) must be in place for any export of individual fractions.
