The project aims to limit the water losses of the system, rationalize its operation and increase the durability of the works, through the following interventions:
- construction of a new tank of about 40,000 cubic meters, alongside the existing one (Vasca Tavoliere), in order to increase the compensation capacity of the system;
- rehabilitation of damaged structures in AC and generalized waterproofing of Channel 2B and the most critical sections of the Adductor Canal of the Tavoliere in order to drastically reduce irrigation losses due to infiltration and increase the durability of the works;
- modernization of the outlets along the Adductor Canal of the Tavoliere, with the installation of "intelligent" gates capable of regulating the outflows in the riverbed;
- integration and improvement of the existing remote control system, with the supply of a SCADA system at Vasca Tavoliere and installation of a management software.
