General building description
Construction project, architectural concept
The city of Mülheim an der Ruhr is planning a façade, specialist room and fire protection renovation at the Broich school centre. This applies to the grammar school, the auditorium and the secondary school.
The existing exposed aggregate concrete curtain panels are deteriorating from a static point of view and must be removed. In the course of this, all façade surfaces are to be renewed, i.e. new windows and doors are to be applied to the existing shell construction. A curtain-type, rear-ventilated façade made of HPL coated panels in various colours creates a uniform new façade appearance. Areas with different colours make it possible to read the individual parts of the building.
In the area of the teachers' room of the secondary school, a single-storey extension to the southernmost building is being built
Inner courtyard.
Within this construction project, the scientific rooms will be relocated and existing
Some rooms have been relocated to the new extension building (separate building application).
In the course of this, a new fire protection concept will be implemented, for which the second fire protection concept will be implemented in the area of the specialist rooms.
Escape route is partly realized via bypass doors.
