Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are planning to replace the current MRI scanner. As part of the overall scheme an interim MRI solution is required to enable service continuity within the Trust. An Interim MRI scanning solution is required for a period of approximately 20 weeks to sustain the delivery of the MR Imaging service at Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust during the removal and replacement of the Trust's static MRI facility.
The contracting Authority are following a tendering procedure for the services which is similar in some respects to an open procedure as provided for under the Public Contracts Regulations 2006, and throughout this process and associated documentation, the terminology linked to an open procedure is used. This should not howeverbe taken as an acceptance by the Authority that any part of the 2006 Regulations (other than those in provision specifically applicable to Part B services procurement) apply to this service procurement.
