The contract covers engineering services of the technical equipment of phases 1 to 9 for the renovation of a listed student dorm.
The Studentenwerk Trier intends to renovate the old building for the "Martinskloster" student dormitory on the western edge of Trier's city center, directly on the Moselle.
The residence complex consists of 2 parts; on the one hand, the west wing of the former abbey building of the abbey of St. Martin on the western part of the property (old building) and the extension from the 20th century on the eastern part of the property. The latter was recently the subject of a realization competition (not subject of this invitation to tender) and is replaced by a new building. Both parts of the building are used under the name "Martinskloster" as one of the 5 student residences in Trier. The Abbey of St. Martin was probably a monastery built in the 6th century in Trier. It is said to go back to a church built by Martin of Tours in the 4th century. At the latest in the 10th century, the abbey was led by monks of the Benedictine order, it was once one of the largest abbeys in the city and was repealed in 1802 under the Napoleonic rule. In 1972, the parts of the building were converted into a student residence and supplemented by a building.
For the planning task:
Arm:
Local heating, drinking water as well as electricity and low-voltage power supply (including telephone, bell and satellite system) is provided by the technical center of the new building. Correspondingly necessary distributions, sub-distributions, substations, etc. are to be coordinated and planned in detail with the specialist planners of the new building / heating center.
Activities:
Most of the existing installations will be renewed, in some cases existing plant components (controlled domestic ventilation (central), heat distribution, sanitation, low-power electricity) will have to be taken over and taken into account in the planning. Required subdistribution, central water heating, etc. are housed in the vaulted cellar. All underground pipelines below the EC level should be maintained and should be checked for any remedial needs and remediated if necessary.
Note: The Studentenwerk Trier intends to abandon the existing extension from the 1970s and build a new building with approx. 120 rooms in its place. The Studierendenwerk attaches great importance to energy efficiency and low operating costs of the new building. The new building should at least reach the KfW 40 standard. Against this background, energy-efficient planning should also be sought for the renovation of the old building.
The provision of services should begin immediately after the order has been placed, at the latest on 2.5.2019. Construction work is scheduled to commence on 31.3.2020.
