The Epe sports halls are located in the immediate vicinity of the future sub-location of the Euregio comprehensive school at Gasstraße 22 in Gronau, Epe district. They consist of a single gymnasium, which is mainly used for primary school sports in Epe, as well as a DIN-compliant triple sports hall with a mobile grandstand system.

The gymnasium was built in 1966 in reinforced concrete skeleton construction, the triple hall was added directly to it ten years later. Both halls have their own changing and sanitary areas and can therefore be operated autonomously and separately from each other. Both halls are still in their original state. For this reason, the city of Gronau is planning the complete structural, energy-efficient and design renovation of both hall areas.

In anticipation of this major project, the changing and sanitary facilities of both halls have already been optimized in terms of floor plan and renovated accordingly to new building standards.

The tender covers the electrical installation work.

Planned installation equipment must be adapted to the existing building in the areas to be renovated and reinstalled. KNX is to be used for the switching of the hall lighting. The existing emergency lighting is to be extended. Necessary built-in/surface-mounted luminaires, as well as escape route markings in escape and escape routes are to be designed as LED luminaires. At the exits to the outside, safety luminaires with a higher degree of protection must be used. In the common rooms are provided to luminaires (LED) too. In the halls, these must be carried out in a ball-proof manner.

For the entire sports hall complex, a nationwide fire alarm system for the early detection of fires with connection to the fire brigade is to be installed. For alerting in the event of a fire, as well as for evacuation and the possibility for announcements and music playbacks, a voice alarm system must be installed.
