RDW in Zamość: "Winter pavement maintenance services in RDW Zamość in the winter season 2023/2024"

1. The subject of the contract is the provision of services under the name of:

WFD in Zamość "Winter maintenance services of pavements in the area of WFD Zamość in the winter season 2023/2024" The scope of work includes mechanical and manual snow removal and combating the slipperiness of the winter surface of pavements, bicycle paths, dividing islands and pedestrian refuges along the entire width with the use of abrasive materials (sand), including sections constituting access roads to pedestrian crossings, contracted by the Regional Roads Region in Zamość, divided into tasks;

Task No. 1: Road Circuit in Biłgoraj

Task No. 1: Road Circuit in Biłgoraj

a. Route No. 835; sidewalks and cycle paths – 4,754 km

b. Route No. 858; sidewalks and bicycle paths – 0.672 km

Including; 5.426 km

2. A detailed list of pavement and bicycle path sections is included in the Appendix "Technical Specification with the list and location of pavements, paths, dividing islands and pedestrian refuges in the Road Circuit in Biłgoraj, Józefów and Zamość for the winter season 2023/2024".

3. The Contracting Authority, depending on the weather conditions, will each time make decisions on the commencement of services with an indication of the road sections on which there will be a need to carry out an active action.

4. The Contractor's duties will include:

a. Mechanical and manual snow removal in places inaccessible to equipment – pavements, bicycle paths, dividing islands and pedestrian refuges in such a way that the layer of snow left does not exceed 2-3 cm and constitutes a level surface. It is unacceptable to leave

on cleared sections of glaciated snow or ice forming an uneven, undulating surface

b. Evenly spreading sand on the entire width of the cleared surfaces. It is unacceptable to spread clumped sand and to have discontinuities in gritting.

c. Performing snow removal and abrasive sprinkling activities on call, depending on weather conditions and pavement conditions to ensure a standard of maintenance.

d. In the event of snowfall or rain, the Contractor, after being called upon by the Contracting Authority's representative, should proceed with gritting the pavements immediately after the rainfall stops. After gritting, an even thin layer of sand should be maintained on the pavements to prevent winter slipperiness.

e. The decision on the necessity of snow removal or gritting is made by the Contractor at the request of the Contracting Authority's representative.

f. Immediately after the call, start gritting the surface in the event of winter slipperiness or a justified suspicion as to the possibility of its occurrence regardless of precipitation.

g. Securing and maintaining the equipment and machines in readiness along with the operation of the equipment and machines intended for the execution of the order.

h. Providing in-house repair and overhaul service of the equipment intended for the provision of services.

i. The Contracting Authority shall secure and make available to the Contractor the materials for combating slipperiness - sand located in the storage yards. Loading of materials to combat slippery conditions will be carried out with the effort and at the expense of the Contractor placed in the area of the Road Circuits:

j. Transport and equipment units must have direct communication, via mobile phones, with the Road Circuits of the Region in order to, m.in, provide information on the condition of roads, prevailing weather conditions and availability.

k. The Contractor is obliged to register the route, the working time of the equipment, which will be the basis for issuing an invoice – monthly settlement.

l. The operator of the equipment may be a person who has the appropriate qualifications of the equipment to be operated and has been trained to work in winter maintenance of pavements.

Task No. 2: Road Circuit in Biłgoraj (Tarnogród)

a. Route No. 835; sidewalks and cycle paths – 4,970 km

b. Route No. 863; sidewalks and cycle paths – 1,765 km

Including; 6.735 km
