Daventry District Council (DDC) has recently commissioned Fire Risk Assessments (FRA) on their corporate buildings, including the Civic Offices Daventry. Further to the FRA Survey and Report on the Civic Offices, subsequent improvement works are now required to improve the fire standards throughout the building. Improvement works are required to ensure DDC comply with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
The existing passenger lift located within Stairwell 2 of the Civic Offices does not provide adequate evacuation functions in a fire or other emergency scenario. Due to the age of the lift car and the mechanical works, a full replacement is required to ensure current standards are met.
