Subproject 2: realization of segment 5: length approx. 1 400m

This assignment covers the last segment, starting from the Ernest Claeslaan (Antwerp-Lier bicycle highway) and the Tuinweg (Lint - Lier bicycle highway) up to and including the Lier station area. Both bicycle paths come together after which the route crosses the R16 through a new tunnel construction.

After the intersection, the route runs with a bridge over the northern rail bundle and then parallel along the Zuid-Australlaan to connect to the bicycle infrastructure that is provided for the redesign of the station area towards the east.
