The Contractor is obliged to take over, transport and dispose of all the sewage sludge resulting from the wastewater treatment in the wastewater treatment plant of the AG professionally and legally in accordance with the law for the duration of the contract. It is up to the contractor whether he removes the sewage sludge by incineration or recycles it by producing a sewage sludge mixture or compost. Another disposal method cannot be chosen. The contractor's obligation to dispose of waste is independent of the quantity and composition of the sewage sludge to be disposed of. Approximately 3,400 tons of digested, dewatered sewage sludge with a dry residue content of 23% to 26%, currently on average around 24.5%, are expected to be disposed of.

The AG operates a public drainage facility in the association area, which mainly absorbs domestic wastewater. The public drainage facility includes a wastewater treatment plant, which is located on the association's premises, Am Schloßhölzl 25, 82319 Starnberg. The wastewater generated in the sewage treatment plant is cleaned mechanically, biologically and chemically. Upstream denitrification is carried out in the biological stage.
