Oslo municipality, the Munch Museum shall purchase a FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) Spectrometer for our conservation department.

The apparatus shall be used to analyse samples from painting and to analyse material characteristics. The samples shall be matched with databases/libraries. The museum would also like to build up its own databases/library for its own pieces of art.

The delivery shall include training in the use of the spectrometer and any additional modules and the accompanying software. Plus software that makes it possible to carry out analyses, present analyses, and document the analyses to databases/libraries.
