Description:
Survey on Antisemitic Attitudes in the European Union

On 5 October 2021, the Commission presented its first-ever EU Strategy on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life that sets out a series of measures articulated around three pillars. The strategy indicates that the Commission will contract an EU-wide online survey on antisemitic prejudices. This contract aims to implement this action, by carrying out a representative survey, based on a state-of-the-art questionnaire, that measures antisemitic attitudes among the general population, including key-subgroups such as based on educational level, migration background, gender, age, political preference (including the far left and far right), religion and belief. The survey should be sensitive to possible overlaps between these groups and provide insights in intersectional attributes to prevalent antisemitic prejudices among the general public. It should capture the many different forms of antisemitism that exist, taking as a starting point, the forms described in the IHRA definition.
