The City of Tornio is asking for tenders for the winter maintenance of streets and roads.
The acquisition includes the maintenance of streets and roads in the Tornio city area.
The contract period is 15.10.2023–15.5.2024, 15.10.2024–15.5.2025. Options 15.10.2025–15.5.2026 and
15.10.2026–15.5.2027. The exercise of the option will be decided before the end of the actual contract period
by 15.5.2025.
The procurement includes a total of approximately 210 kilometres of winter maintenance of streets and roads. The streets and roads to be maintained are divided into maintenance categories as follows:
* KP-lk 1 about 24.6 kilometers
* KP-lk 2 about 29.7 kilometers
* KP-LK 3 about 143.6 kilometers
The procurement includes a total of approximately 60 kilometres of winter maintenance of pedestrian and bicycle lanes. The maintenance routes to be maintained are divided into maintenance categories as follows:
* KP-lk 1 about 20.8 kilometers
* KP-lk 2 about 30.2 kilometers

The contractor in area 1-9 acquires the sanding sand and is responsible for its cost and quality. The sand is freely available to all contractors in different areas at Raumo. The client pays the sand to the contractor according to the actual consumption.
