Specialist planning services for stone repair

The entire Salem monastery and palace complex is a listed building in accordance with § 12 DSchG. The cathedral was built in several phases from 1299 and completed with the construction of the west gable in 1424. Work on the cathedral façades, which began in 2015, was completed in 2017.

The planned measures : The work is now to be continued on the stone facades or completed from the transept, north façade to the east, east gable and south façade with transept gable south. Münster room shell : Since 2013-2019, fuses and investigations in the interior, emergency safeguards and investigations of the room shell have been carried out. From 2016 to 2020, climate data was collected by a climate monitoring system in the cathedral. In the measure, the restoration of the room shell as well as the equipment in the choir (wall surfaces and vaults) as well as the altars including .dem choir stalls is to be implemented, taking into account the knowledge gained from the preliminary investigations and in close coordination with the LAD. Restoration of the historic Schwarz organ from 1901. Case built 1769 - 1771 on the west gallery. Renewal of the electrical installations, lighting Münster, Schwarz organ, in close coordination with organ experts, LAD.

The construction costs (KG 300/400) amount to approx. € 5.8 million.

Construction is planned from 02/2025 to 08/2026.
