The Zentralbahn is implementing three renovation projects between Giswil and Lungern as part of a total closure in autumn 2023.

According to project-specific disposal concepts, the implementation of the three projects produces around 2,200 tonnes, 2,700 tonnes and 4,700 tonnes of gravel each, which is to be processed and reused.

Zentralbahn intends to have the ballast for all three projects processed centrally on an installation area by a third-party company. For the associated ballast treatment, Zentralbahn is looking for a recycling company in an open process.
