The target of the procurement is the preparation of a railway plan for the improvement of the Siuntio station. In more detail, the task is described in the tender documents.
This consultancy agreement includes the preparation of a railway plan for the Siuntio station improvement project.
Siuntio's traffic point is located on the Rantarata railway line, track kilometre 51+285. The traffic point currently has short platforms of 176 m and 112 m. The piers are partly high, but in most of the quay area they do not meet the measurement requirements for high piers. The geometry of the track and the condition of the quays are poor at the station due to the soft bottom conditions and require constant maintenance. The number of park-and-ride spaces is insufficient in relation to the number of passengers and the need for parking. The underpass height of the underpass under the existing track should be increased. The accessible access routes in the station area do not meet the current requirements.
The aim of the railway plan is to improve the station and the station area so that, in the future, the station will have high and long platforms along the entire route. The tracks and structures of the track and the surrounding area will be improved and repaired, for example, to eliminate the continuous need for track maintenance. The station's accessibility will be improved and the parking areas will be expanded and parking spaces will be added. The measures to be taken will improve the safety of both passengers and rail and road transport. The aim is to find a solution that is technically, transport-wise, environmentally and economically feasible.
The service to be carried out and its contents with its terms and schedules are defined in their entirety in the tender documents.
