The aim of the research on the Faith Learning Reform is to map, document, process and evaluate experience of the reform's content, activities, organisation, results and effects. The research shall give knowledge on the decisive factors that contribute to the development and renewal of the Norwegian Church's offer to all christened children and youths. Central areas of the research will be the implementation of the Plan for Faith Learning, the organisation of the reform and processing experiences from the congregations' faith learning offer.
The Church Council would like, through this tender contest, to enter into a framework agreement with a research environment that can facilitate and carry out research on different sides of the Faith Learning Reform. The Church Council invites relevant research environments to submit a tender for research. Concrete sub assignments will be designed in cooperation with the Church Council.
Based on the received tenders, the Church Council and the service provider will, after the contract has been signed, make a plan for the main activities in the three year period. The ongoing cooperation will be carried out through annual consultations, planning meetings and involvement in the design of research questions as needed. In addition the framework agreement will involve the service provider being flexible and available for short sub projects during the project. The research shall be documented and communicated in the form of reports, articles, contributions at conferences etc.
A total of approx. NOK 3 000 000 including VAT will be put aside in the budget for research for the period 2015-2017. The final amount will depend on further awards to the Faith Learning Reform.
