This notice covers the procurement of engineering design for the third construction stage of Bybanen. It includes the preparation of detailed plans, procurement documents and construction plans for the third construction stage of the light rail project and follow-up activities during the of construction and warranty periods.
The commission comprises all the planning and design works from Rådal to Bergen Airport Flesland. It includes preparatory work, the dividing and detailing of substructure works and the dividing and detailing of superstructure works. The sub- and superstructure works include ground works, tunnels, track, terminals, stop points, power, signal and telecommunications works, engineering and information systems. The commission also includes handling noise reduction measures, the planning/handling of the rerouting of traffic and other substructure design/technical needs. Overall stage plans and detailed sign plans will be included.
The following main elements shall be designed/projected:
— 6 tunnels with a total length of 2 850 m,
— Railway bridges with a length of up to 110 m, total length 260 m,
— Pedestrian bridges across railway and roads,
— 6 culverts for railway lines with a total length of 680 m,
— 8 portals connected to tunnels,
— Ground reinforcement, 150 m,
— 7 stops,
— Public transit terminal,
— Depot and workshop area, approx. 80 acres including workshop building,
— Water and sewage works,
— Ordinary mass haulage and foundation works for roads and light rail,
— Track works along the line,
— Electro works along the line,
— Signal system works along the line.
The design and restructuring of the technical systems in the ground shall be completed in close collaboration with the VA-agency and other cable agencies. An upgrading of the existing infrastructure and solutions is expected. Changes and improvements to national, county and municipal roads will also play a part in the upgrading of the infrastructure and new constructions. The outline planning documents must reflect the division of responsibility between the various agencies' responsibilities and support the cost sharing.
