The focus audit will contribute to uncovering the municipalities' administration of the sickness benefit rules in relation to the municipalities' follow-up and efforts for citizens receiving sickness benefit. The study concerns the intervention part of the sickness benefit rules, and focuses on whether the municipalities in their administration contribute to the sick person regaining his or her working life and returning to the labour market as soon as possible, as well as supporting cooperation between the municipality, companies and other relevant actors to reduce and prevent sickness absence.
