As part of the federal program "Adaptation of Urban Spaces to Climate Change", the city of Bühl is planning a climate-adapted further development of the historic city garden in Bühl. This funding programme is intended to support municipalities in coping with climate-induced changes and the associated challenges. The aim here is the targeted development and modernisation of parks, green spaces and open spaces, which will then serve as a model for urban development through the measures.
The city of Bühl has applied for this funding program with the project outline "Sustainable Further Development of Historic City Gardens". The project outline was included in the first stage of the funding program on 2.03.2023.
For inclusion in the second stage of the funding program, the city of Bühl has developed a design concept and has already coordinated it with the funding committee. Part of this concept is the integration of the element of water into the planning to increase the quality of stay on hot days. Here, the use of grey water from the well system also plays a major role with regard to the technical well equipment. The grey water is to feed a trench system, which is then to be used to irrigate the trees / green areas. In addition to the outdoor facility, the technical equipment for the water technology must therefore also be planned.
Since the city garden as a whole is a listed building, the basic features of further planning must also be coordinated with the State Monuments Office. Further details on the project can be found in the documents on the tendering platform.
II.2.4.1) Sub-area to be processed with the contract to be awarded:
The services to be rendered refer to the following objects:
Planning of the Bühl Historic City Garden with integrated drainage system based on the concept of a sponge city
Stage 1: Open space planning Complete the preliminary planning and create the design plan with cost calculation as a basis for bringing about the investment decision.
Technical equipment: Preparation of the preliminary and design planning for the water technology systems for the operation of the well and for the use of the well water for irrigation of the trees.
Based on the results of processing stage 1, committees of the city of Bühl will make an investment decision. If the decision is positive and the funding agency agrees, the planning will be continued. In the event of a negative investment decision, the processing is completed at this point.
Stage 2 – Optional, Stage 2: Approval planning and preparation of execution, outdoor facility and technical equipment
Stage 3 – Optional: Construction
II.2.4.2) Performance profile:
The following services are essentially to be provided for the aforementioned objects:
1) Object planning of open spaces according to §§ 39 HOAI, LP 2 partially LP3-9 complete;
2) Technical equipment § 55 HOAI LP1-9 complete

II.2.4.3) Step-by-step commissioning:
The assignment takes place in stages:
Level 1 = Basic mission: Services up to the investment decision,
Level 2 = optional services: services approval and preparation of execution (work phases 4-7).
Level 3 = optional services: Construction services
