Crawley Borough Council and Horsham District Council both require a long term agreement with a supplier to provide and install tyres to the fleet of each council (with the exception of Crawley's waste vehicles which are managed by Biffa).The contract would also cover those services typically undertaken by a Tyre Installer and provide for a breakdown service in the event Council vehicles require tyres replaced while broken down on the road.Each Council requires a contract to commence 1st November 2023 and run for five years only.
Horsham District Council's requirements apply to the Council's entire fleet and are broken down as follows:- The supply of Tyres and associated parts (i.e. valves and rims in the event the rim requires replacing). It is a specific Horsham requirement that tyres supplied for all HGVs are remoulded tyres.- The end-of-life Tyre requirements; finding the most sustainable solution- Scheduled Tyre Services; attending the Council's Depot on a regular basis to inspect vehicles and assess if any work is required- Unscheduled Tyre Services; any ad hoc need to be called out and the breakdown service- The Online Platform
Crawley Borough Council's requirements apply to the Council's fleet minus the waste vehicles and are broken down as follows:- The supply of Tyres and associated parts (i.e. valves and rims in the event the rim requires replacing).- The end-of-life Tyre requirements, finding the most sustainable solution- The call-off services; Crawley BC inspect their own vehicles and call-out for every occasion work is required- The breakdown service
