Newcastle City Council is seeking providers for a multi-lot Framework to supply and install various aids and adaptations for qualifying residents, including stair lifts, hoists, access works, and general building modifications.
Aids and Adaptations Framework. Newcastle City Council has a duty under the Care Act 2014 and the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 to provide adaptations for qualifying residents, in households which are either: • owned by the Council, or • households in receipt of the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG). The Aids and Adaptations multi-lot Framework seeks to appoint providers who can provide appropriate equipment to meet assessed needs including, but not limited to: -Stair Lifts -Ceiling Track Hoists -Platform Lifts/ Vertical Lifts/ Step Lifts -Level Access Showers / Shower over baths / Wash-Dry toilets / Kitchens and Internal Alterations -Extensions, Room/ Garage Conversions -Access Works (Ramps, Steps, Paving etc.) Stair Lifts Supply and installation of stair-lifts Ceiling Track Hoists Supply and installation of ceiling track hoist systems. Platform Lifts / Vertical Lifts / Step Lifts Complete works including Platform Lifts / Vertical Lifts / Step Lifts General Building Works Lot 4 includes the provision of general building works split into two sections: A: Level Access Showers, Shower over baths, Bathroom modifications, Wash/ Dry toilets, Kitchens and Internal Alterations B: Extensions, Room/ Garage conversions Service and Repair of stair lifts, ceiling track hoists and platform lifts Service and Repair of stair lifts, ceiling track hoists and platform lifts Access Works Works complete for temporary ramps and steps, Permanent ramps, Paving, Shallow steps
