The aim of Competence for the Future Nursery — Strategy for Competence and Recruitment 2014-2020 is to strengthen the quality in Norwegian nurseries through competence development measures for all employees in the country's nurseries. The strategy shall contribute to recruiting and keeping more nursery teachers and employees with relevant competence to work in a nursery. The intention of the strategy is to raise the competence of all employees who work in nurseries and to increase the status of work in nurseries.
A follow-up evaluation of the strategy shall be carried out. The objective of the follow-up evaluation is to evaluate whether the aims of the strategy are being achieved, and provide a basis for further development, adjustment and ensure the quality of the competence measures during the strategy period.
