Statsbygg requests, in connection with
no.: 1156603
name: New Courthouse Solution in Bergen
tenders for H002 BHO builder's ombudsman.
Bergen Courthouse is a monumental building from 1933 designed by the architect Egil Reimers, and it takes up a block at Tårnplassen. The building is dilapidated and not very functional. A rehabilitated and reconstructed courthouse will contribute to more efficient case proceedings and increased security for the users and the employees in the courthouse. The building is approximately 13,000 m2 GFA spread over six floors plus a basement and loft. The building is listed through regulation in accordance with the Cultural Memorial Act dated 18.11.2014, amended 30.9.2021. The listing covers both the exterior, parts of the interior, as well as specially designed furniture and mobile fixtures.
Statsbygg carried out a preliminary project on behalf of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security for the rehabilitation and alteration of Bergen Courthouse, in cooperation with HENT AS in the period 2021-2023.
Requirements for which services will be provided are in the attached builder's ombudsman.
The assignment is to be carried out by the offered person and will be remunerated according to the hours used, based on received
tender prices.
Statsbygg estimates that the workload will be approx. 80% in the construction period (up until errors and
shortcomings have been corrected or the start-up of trial operation). The actual workload will vary over time and will depend on the phase in the project. The builder's ombudsman will have their workplace at the construction site during the entire construction period, and travel to and from the workplace is to be included in the offered hourly rate.
