For AfricaConnect DANTE sought Network Services within the sub Saharan, Southern and Eastern Africa region and towards Europe and associated equipment housing services.

For Network Services: international point to point telecommunications bandwidth services to connect the national research networks of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. Link capacities were expected to be in the range of 45 Mbps to 10 Gbps.

For Network Services: Provision of space for equipment location, including provision of power, air conditioning, limited technical support and secure access.
