Midttrafik's 65th tender covers the operation of city buses and local routes in Viborg Municipality and Holstebro Municipality. The service is offered in two independent lots.
Package 1 - Viborg MunicipalityKørselsomfang
The tender includes the operation of the city bus service in the city of Viborg as well as local regular services connected to both Viborg and Bjerringbro. The city bus service and the local route service are offered in the same package in order for the bus company to exploit any synergies in the overall operation, e.g. charging infrastructure for the buses and flexible use of the buses across the routes.
This includes approximately 55,730 timetable hours per year using 27 contract buses and a minimum of 3 spare buses.
Propellant requirements
There is a requirement that the operation is carried out with zero-emission buses, i.e. hydrogen or electric buses. It is a requirement that only buses/solutions are offered where there are no infrastructural measures in the urban space.
This means that tenders with electric buses may not be submitted for buses that require the installation of charging stations in the urban space; It must be possible to charge electric buses at the bus company's own facilities or other facilities approved for the purpose.
Similarly, in the case of offers with hydrogen buses, refuelling facilities must be established at the bus company's own facilities or other facilities approved for the purpose, as well as using any publicly accessible hydrogen filling stations.
