Winter service: The contractor takes over the snow removal and blunting of slippery conditions during the winter season for the sidewalks, asphalt surfaces and flat roof areas of a total of approx. 5050 m² located on the property of the German National Library, Deutscher Platz 1, in Leipzig. If, for reasons of weather, winter service is required before the start or beyond the end of the winter season, the contractor is obliged to provide this necessary scope in accordance with the contract as amended.m of this service description.

Maintenance of green spaces: The contractor takes over the maintenance of green spaces on the property of the German National Library, Deutscher Platz 1, in Leipzig (including light ditches in front of the main building). This includes the mowing of approx. 7,600 m² of lawn, the care of small shrubs and plant areas of approx. 1,600 m², the ornamental pruning of 6 hedge groups, the care and testing of 59 large shrubs, the weed removal on a total area of approx. 4,200 m² and other work.

The contractor shall take over the snow removal and blunting of slippery conditions during the winter season for the sidewalks, asphalt surfaces and flat roof areas of a total of approx. 5050 m² listed on the property of the German National Library, Deutscher Platz 1, in Leipzig under No. 1.2. If, for reasons of weather, winter service is required before the start or beyond the end of the winter season, the contractor is obliged to provide this necessary scope in accordance with the contract as amended.m of this service description.

The total area to be cleared is composed as follows:

- Main entrance: approx. 129 m².

- Footpath Deutscher Platz, Philipp- Rosental-Str., Semmelweisstr. Curiestr. (lane to be cleared 1.5m): approx. 1227 m².

- Wirtschaftshof West incl. access from Deutsches Platz, access from Philipp - Rosental-Str. and access to the courtyard DMA Reading Room (lane to be cleared 3.8 m): approx. 673 m².

- Walking distance from the tram stop "Deutsche Nationalbibliothek" to the staff entrance (lane to be cleared 1.5m): approx. 116 m².

- Staff parking with access from Deutsches Platz: approx. 1232 m².

- Posthof with access from Philipp - Rosental-Str.: approx. 817 m².

- Flat roof area part B to Philip - Rosental-Str.: approx. 860 m².

The contractor's performance includes:

- Setting up and providing a winter service,

- Manual snow and ice removal (according to §4 Winter Service Statute of the City of Leipzig).

- The gradation of the area cleared of snow without the use of chemical de-icing agents (according to §5 Winter Service Statute of the City of Leipzig).

- The use of snow removal technology of the contractor

- Removal of the snow on the flat roof area referred to in point 1.2.7 if the snow depth exceeds 35 cm on the instructions of the client

- The removal of grit and, if necessary, granules as soon as the weather permits (according to §5 Winter Service Statute of the City of Leipzig).

- The client reserves the right to report further areas to be managed and to include them in the contract. The same applies to the reduction of the areas to be managed in such a way that from the 1st of the month following the notification, the remuneration to be paid decreases or increases proportionately.

Maintenance of green spaces: The contractor takes over the maintenance of green spaces on the property of the German National Library, Deutscher Platz 1, in Leipzig (including light ditches in front of the main building).

This includes the mowing of approx. 7,600 m² of lawn:

- Mowing of utility lawns, growth height 6-10 cm cutting height 3 cm,

- Before each operation, the lawn must be checked for stones or other debris and this if necessary. to be removed,

- cut material is to be disposed of by the contractor,

- Planned interval about 8x per year.

The maintenance of small shrubs and plant areas of approx. 1,600 m²:

- chopping of the area of small shrubs and perennials, cutting off dry shoots,

- cutting back the trees at the boundary of the property to the adjacent walkways,

- clean the area of weeds, stones from 5 cm in diameter or other debris,

- dig up permanent weeds,

- Any resulting rubbish and weeds must be disposed of by the contractor,

- Planned interval 2x per year.

The decorative cut of 6 hedge groups:

- cut hedges into curved shape (max. 1m high),

- Planned interval 2x per year.

The care and testing of 59 large shrubs:

- Annual stability check of the above-mentioned trees incl.dem removal of all deadwood or rotten branches as well as, where necessary, pruning,

- Felling of a single tree in accordance with the client's instructions.

Weed removal on a total area of approx. 4,200 m²:

- The valley bottoms of all light ditches free from weeds or other debris approx. 627 m²,

- The courtyards covered with slabs are to be cleared of weeds or other debris about 222 m²,

- Main entrance between the small pavement of weeds free approx. 129 m²,

- Forecourt and steps to the extension building from the direction of the Deutsches Platz from weeds free approx. 126 m²,

- Ornamental cherries with gravel surface from weeds or other debris free approx. 241 m²,

- Weed removal incl. care of the tree slices on the tower courtyard approx. 2,900 m²,

- Weed removal at the bed barrier or "garbage place",

- Weed removal on the bicycle stands main façade Deutscher Platz.

As well as other work:

- Annual blending of the vines at the main portal of the historic library building,

- leaf removal and disposal on the entire property of the German National Library as required,

- watering of the planting and planting area, water can be taken from the existing taps free of charge, minimum amount of water per operation/m² = 25 l, 10 operations,

- Fertilization of the planting areas with Hornoska special or equivalent, fertilization period March/April.
