In accordance with the resolution of the Finance Committee of the City of Munich of 27.07.2021 and confirmed by the General Assembly of 28.09.2021, the transfer of the Thalkirchen campsite in hereditary lease to MRG – Münchner Raumentwicklungsgesellschaft mbH was decided and MRG was commissioned with the further planning and implementation of the renovation and revitalisation of the Thalkirchen campsite in accordance with the rough concept presented by the MRG.
The planning goal is a modern urban campsite with a solid 3-star standard and a focus on urban tourism while maintaining current capacities. As an urban campsite, all requirements for sustainability, ecology and inclusion are to be met.
It is planned to dismantle and rebuild the entrance building, the sanitary building 1 and a minimal sanitary building with expansion option in the north, each in wooden element construction as well as the renovation of the sanitary building 5. The other existing sanitary buildings as well as dormitories and staff accommodation are to be demolished. In addition, the network of paths, the fresh water and sewage network, the surface drainage and the electrical engineering are to be renovated. In the camping area, additional capacities for megaliners and "dry" huts are to be generated and the offer is to be revised according to user needs and city tourism.
The objects are classified in the fee zone III technical planning structural design with creditable costs of approximately 810,000 € for the entrance building, 590,000 € net for the sanitary buildings 1 and the minimum sanitary building as well as 265,000 € net plus a 20% conversion surcharge for the sanitary building 5.
