DANTE required two specific Dark Fibre routes to 2020 for Paris-Geneva and Geneva-Milan. The objects of the procurement were:

a) Lease Routes that are most compliant with DANTE's quality requirements with maximum route diversity at minimum cost.

b) Commission Routes in line with stated requirements.

c) Undertake an open procurement in accordance with Article 28 of the Council Directive 2004/18/EC of 31 March 2004.

d) Contract duration will be for 7 years, with options for early termination and 2 year extension.
