The Norwegian Public Roads Administration shall construct a foot and bicycle path (GSV) along E39/Rv.15, between Hjelle and Nor Bridge. The project shall be implemented in cooperation with Eid municipality. The municipality shall establish a new water and sewage system on the same section. The water and sewage system shall be constructed in the foot and bicycle path. The project also includes required pavement widening of the national road (Rv.15) in such a way that this road has sufficient width to contain a yellow centre line.

In addition to works related to the foot and bicycle path and pavement widening of the national road, the contract also includes works with municipal roads which shall replace the existing exit roads that will be closed as a result of the road project. This includes the establishment of a water and sewage system in the municipal roads. New road lighting shall be established in the area where the new foot and bicycle path is constructed.

The contract also includes an option for the construction of a new foot and bicycle bridge with a length of approx. 40 m across the Eids River.

Main quantities in the tender documents:

— Approx. 850 metres new Foot and bicycle path along the national road;

— Approx. 2 600 metres road lighting with complete foundation and cables in the ground;

— Approx. 950 metres pavement widening of the national road;

— Approx. 560 metres with works in and on municipal roads;

— Approx. 350 metres long new municipal road;

— Alteration of intersections and exit roads;

— 5 bus bays — Reconstruction/establishment;

— Approx. 3 250 m municipal water and sewage system with drainage trenches and accompanying manholes and crossings;

— Approx. 20 000 m3 mass disposal Bjørlomona.

Option:

— 1 foot and bicycle path across the Eids River — Bridge span 40 metres;

— The total length of the project is approx. 1 500 metres;

— The works include establishment of approx. 2 000 metres Water and Sewage system for Eid municipality;

— The system shall be established in an approx. 600 metres new foot and bicycle path and in approx. 400 metres existing foot and bicycle path.
