The city of Burgdorf intends to rehabilitate its town hall I, a listed half-timbered house from 1805, which is one of the landmarks of the city of Burgdorf due to its representative appearance.
In addition to rehabilitating the building fabric and modernizing the building technology systems, the aim of the project is to ensure the area efficiency of the publicly accessible areas as well as the rooms used for administrations by overplanning the interior layout to optimize.
The requirements for monument preservation as well as the coordination of the construction process with regard to the central location of the building in the middle of the city must be taken into account. In addition, close cooperation and coordination with the planning of roof renovation is required.
The overall construction project is divided into the subprojects “Roof Renovation” and “Interior Renovation”, whereby the planning services for roof renovation have already been awarded.
The usable area of the building is approximately 820 square meters, and the construction costs for interior renovation (KG 300 and KG 400) were estimated at EUR 1 860 850 (gross) in 2019 as part of a feasibility study.
